At St. Louis Eye Institute, we recognize the pivotal role that clinical research plays in advancing the ophthalmic care of our patients.
Throughout his career, Dr. Fedyk has made substantial contributions to over 50 clinical research trials, spanning pharmaceutical and medical device investigations. These studies have been instrumental in evaluating the safety and effectiveness of emerging treatments for a diverse range of ocular conditions.
With a dedicated research team and state-of-the-art facility, we are committed to providing patients with the most advanced ocular and vision-enhancing therapies and contribute to the future of eye health for generations to come.
Clinical trials are research studies involving human volunteers to evaluate new medical treatments, interventions, or devices. These trials are essential for advancing medical knowledge and improving patient care. In ophthalmology, clinical trials often assess new treatments for various eye conditions, aiming to enhance vision and alleviate symptoms.
At St. Louis Eye Institute, we conduct clinical trials under strict ethical and scientific guidelines to ensure patient safety and research integrity. Participating in a clinical trial is completely voluntary but offers patients the chance to explore advanced treatment options before they’re commonly accessible. Participants may also discover additional benefits such as compensation for their time or access to reduced-cost services, highlighting the value of their involvement in our trials for both patients and research advancement.
St. Louis Eye Institute is currently enrolling volunteers to participate in a clinical research studies for adults with chronic conjunctivitis, as well adults undergoing cataract surgery.
